Cell of Our Lady of Walsingham

The St Peter's Cell of Our Lady of Walsingham attends a special monthly Mass and offers prayers for those in need, particularly those who ask for prayers in the book in the Lady Chapel. Members also take the names of those who ask for prayers, and remember them in their personal prayers.

A Mass in honour of Our Lady of Walsingham and for the Cell of Our Lady of Walsingham and St Peter is offered at 6.30 p.m. on the third Sunday of the month, following Evensong and Benediction. This mass is followed by a shared supper.

In addition, the Rosary is said each Saturday morning following the 9.00 am Mass.

The Cell of Our Lady of Walsingham and St Peter is a group of people who try to serve God through prayer and by reaching out to help others. You are invited to join our prayers and to become a member of the Cell of Our Lady of Walsingham; we would be pleased to welcome you.

Institute for spiritual studies

The Institute for Spiritual Studies was founded in 1982 by Bishop John Bayton when he was Vicar of St Peter's, Eastern Hill.

From the beginning, the Institute has existed to offer a program of seminars each year, led by speakers who are specialists in their subjects. While these subjects have a spiritual basis, they come from a wide range, including music, literature and art, as well as those which focus on some aspect of spiritual life and growth.

Seminars are held either on a week-day evening (from 7.30 to 9.30 pm) or on a Saturday morning (from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm). They usually take place at St Peter's, Eastern Hill.

The ISS office is open for bookings and enquiries on Monday to Friday between 9 am and 12 Noon, and can be contacted on (03) 9662 2391 or
